Competition Data Systems ChaseCam Innovate Motorsports Ultimate Rain Light Software Products Information Resources How can data acquisition help me? Claude Rouelle Seminars on Vehicle Dynamics and using Data Acquisition |
At Veracity Racing Data, we specialize in data systems for road racing, but these systems can also be used for autocross, circle track, drag racing, motorcycles, or karts.
We can help you select the right system for your needs, since we offer the widest selection of systems available from any one source, and we back up our sales with technical support via telephone, e-mail or even trackside at some SCCA and Pro events. Wondering what a data acquisition can do for you? You'll find some of our thoughts here. We're pleased to announce that we now have expanded our product offering, with the addition of the Competition Data System (CDS), ChaseCam and Innovate Motorsports product lines. We'll be updating the website soon with more information about their products. Stack has announced a new series of data-logging dash products (ST8112, ST8812), featuring improved resolution, increased memory, and lower prices, and with the latest V4 software. Check out the Stack Specials Page for special deals on these new systems. We carry the the complete range of Stack Dash Logger systems. Veracity Racing Data offers the club products from Pi Research, including the X-Sport display, Compact Logger and Delta Clubman and Delta Lite products. Pi Research has introduced a new Compact logger that is the easiest way to upgrade an X-Sport display as found in the FSCCA car. There is a new club-level display coming out in the spring. Stay tuned for more news on this one. Version 1.3.0.9 of Pi Club Expert Windows software is now available for download from the Pi Research website. Veracity Racing Data has added our first GPS-based logging system, Race Technology DL1. The DL1 is the simpliest data system to add to any car (especially street cars). Just plug the power cord into a lighter socket, attach the magnetic GPS antennea to the body of the car, and velcro the logger box to the dash. Insert a Compact Flash card and you're ready to log vehicle speed, lateral and longitudinal G's. Because track maps are captured directly by the GPS system, it's easy to get lap and segment times -- no trackside beacon required! Up to 8 additional analog channels can be logged as well. This is the ideal system for the weekend marque club participant, autocrossers or someone with several cars. Works great for boats too! The Dash2 display is not shipping for use with your DL1. The latest addition from AIM Sports, is an external GPS option for the MXL. It even allows display of your track in 3-D. We carry all the models in the MXL line, as well as the DaVid systems for integrating your data and video. The MyChron3 XG Log continues to offer unbeatable value for the money. We've sold plenty of the MoTeC Advanced Dash Logger over the last several years. This very configurable system can customized for practically any need, from serious club racers, to endurance work in prototypes. Now Motec has introduced a lower-cost version called the ADL Sport so more customers can enjoy the flexibility and power of this amazing dash/logger. Great news - The Motec USB-to-CAN adapter is now available ($266.49). Combined with version 3.2 of the Dash Manager, you get fast downloads and compatibility with the latest laptop computers which have dropped the parallel port connector. We're experts at configuring the ADL and helping customers get the most from their systems. Here are some of the buttons we use. There is a link on the left to the Claude Rouelle seminars sponsored by MoTeC -- these seminars will teach you a great deal about vehicle dynamics, and how we can use data acquisition to measure what is happening with the vehicle on the track. We've recently updated the trade-in page, you never know what you'll find. We also carry the William C. Mitchell "Racing by the Numbers" software. The popular WinGeo3 program is used to analyze suspension geometry, and the effects of bump & roll. Another recent addition is the Ultimate Rain Light. The solid-state light is now available with a variety of harnesses with one or two lights and dual brake/rain light function. Please call 408-732-6606 or E-mail ellen@veracitydata.com to discuss your needs. |
